Nautilus TheaterNautilus Live Theater

Where will you be when the newest undersea discovery is made? The newest attraction of Challenge of the Deep (see below), the Nautilus Live Theater is a live connection to Ballard’s ship, the Nautilus, allowing visitors to not only view what’s happening that very second via telepresence, but communicate with personnel actually on the ship!

Challenge of the DeepChallenge of the Deep

Few people know that Mystic Aquarium not only houses a first-rate collection of aquatic creatures, but the films and finds of Dr. Robert Ballard, the deep sea explorer who rose to fame with his discovery of Titanic in 1985. Included are exhibits on Noah’s Flood and Ancient Shipwrecks, and Exploring Our National Marine Sanctuaries—rare glimpses of America’s underwater national parks, mostly off-limits to the public.
