Rooted in the legacy of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club of Paris of the 1930’s, but far from a traditional gypsy jazz ensemble, Hot Club of Detroit proves itself a versatile modern jazz group, with an electrifying and visionary ensemble that takes the traditions pioneered by Django Reinhardt and company and spins them in a way that's both reverent and refreshingly contemporary. Their energetic and unique acoustic-electric sound features Evan Perri on lead guitar, Julien Labro on accordion, Carl Cafagna on soprano and tenor sax, Paul Brady on rhythm guitar and Andrew Kratzat on bass.
