Connecticut has deep ties to the lobster roll. In the 1920s, Harry Perry, the owner of Perry’s in Milford, made what we think was the first warm lobster roll for one of his favorite customers. Abbott’s Lobster

You’ll be hard pressed to find a hot lobster roll like the one you will find at Abbott’s Lobster in the Rough in Noank, CT. To start, the lobsters are steamed in cast-iron vaults to seal in the flavor. The vaults are decades old adding to the history of the place. You can get three sizes of lobster rolls here started with a quarter-pound of meat. If you are really hungry, you can get the “LOL”, “lots of lobster” with a whole pound of lobster!
