Mystic Seaport Ice Festival
The Mystic Seaport is holding its annual Ice Festival February 19th through the 21st. Bundle up and enjoy ice sculpture demonstrations, games, crafts and live music. Warm up by the fire with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows. Walk through the planetarium that will be transformed into a life sized snow globe. This event is fun for the whole family! Activities included with general admission and free for members.
Arctic Splash-Freezin’ for a reason
Help support Mystic Aquarium and their animal rescue efforts! Register online on their website, and start fundraising for the cause. The donations you receive go directly towards animal care. Then, make a splash at Eastern Point Beach in Groton on February 26th when you jump into the chilly waves! Don’t miss this exhilarating opportunity to be freezin for a reason!
Mystic Museum of Art
The Mystic Museum of Art is the perfect place to visit on a blustery winter day. There you will find a permanent collection of art from prominent American artists, as well as rotating exhibitions. In addition, the museum offers a multitude of art classes for both children and adults. Admission is free for all.
Alice in the Village
Always a unique and whimsical experience, Alice in the Village is the perfect place to enjoy tea on a cold day. They have an extensive hot tea menu, as well as iced teas, bubble teas, and changing color butterfly teas. Be sure to enjoy a homemade sweet treat like a french macaron or crumpet with your tea. There is also a retail store where you can purchase Alice in Wonderland themed items. Conveniently located in Olde Mistick Village, this is the perfect place to warm up on a winter afternoon.
