Well, it’s officially Spring! We’ve turned the clocks ahead, we’re enjoying the longer days, and are excited for the warm Spring weather! We’re ready to get outside and celebrate the season, so we came up with a list of fun things to do in Mystic this Spring!

Mystic Irish Parade

The Mystic Irish Parade returns this year after a two year hiatus. The parade kicks off Sunday, March 27th at 1pm in beautiful Mystic. Beginning at the Seaport, over 2,000 marchers will make their way downtown and will finish up at the Mystic Museum of Art. This parade is one of the state’s most renowned and celebrated Celtic cultural events! Thousands of people fill the streets to watch the celebration. Get there early to be sure you get a good spot!

Seal Watch Cruises

Who can spot a seal? Seal Watch Cruises with Project Oceanology begin on Sunday, March 27th. They also cruise on April 9th, 23th and 30th. These are guided tours of Long Island and Fishers Island Sounds aboard the Envirolab Research Vessel. You will visit multiple locations known for great seal watching, and learn all about Harbor Seals and their migration from Maine. Fun for the whole family!

Daffodil Day

A sure sign of Spring is when the daffodils are blooming! On Saturday April 2, the Denison Homestead will be celebrating Daffodil Day! What better way to embrace Spring than to go see the thousands of blooming yellow daffodils. From 11-3, come explore the grounds and take in the sea of beautiful yellow flowers. So many great photo opportunities!

Pirate Days at the Mystic Seaport

Aye, Mateys! Pirate Days are back at the Mystic Seaport Museum! On April 20th and 21st, bring the whole family down for a treasure trove of outdoor fun! Use your treasure map to find the secret loot and enjoy story time with a pirate. There will be live performances, games, crafts, and real pirates! Don’t miss out on all the fun!
