From its spectacular water views to the delicious dining experiences, it’s the perfect place to spend the holiday with family and friends. This year, Thanksgiving falls on November 23rd, which is about a month away, so it’s not too soon to start planning! If you’d like someone else to do the prepping, cooking and cleaning, you’re in luck! We’ve put together a list of some local restaurants that are hosting a Thanksgiving meal.
Let Hilton Mystic do the cooking so you can enjoy time with your family at this year’s Grand Thanksgiving Buffet. This event will take place in the ballroom and offers three seating times: 11:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Enjoy all you can eat buffet stations, which include delicious entrees like Ginger Brined Roasted Whole Turkey in Truffle Gravy, and Herb Roasted Filet of Salmon. There will be a dual mashed potato bar, charcuterie and local cheeses, traditional Thanksgiving sides, and we can’t forget dessert! Tickets are required and can be purchased here.
Rocks 21, located at the Inn at Mystic, is once again hosting a Thanksgiving Buffet! Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with three carving stations, entrees, and all the classic trimmings. There will be soups, seafood specials, and plenty of dessert options. There are also options for children, like chicken tenders and french fries. Reservations are available from 11am to 6pm.
The Shipwrights Daughter
Skip the mess this year and enjoy Thanksgiving with your loved ones at The Shipwright’s Daughter. They will be serving a 3-course dinner with some of your holiday favorites including sides, like baby butternut squash and entrees, including grass-fed prime rib and of course, everyone’s favorite…turkey! Reservations are required for this event, and can be made here.
If you’re hoping to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal at home, but don’t want to do the cooking, Mystic Market may have just what you’re looking for. They are taking orders for Thanksgiving dinners now through 7pm Wednesday, November 15th. Meal pickup will be Wednesday, November 22nd. If you’re looking for something small, they have “Dinner for Two” options, as well as larger meal options for the whole family. Choose from mouth watering offerings like oven roasted turkey with sage and vegetable stuffing and spiced maple cider glazed carrots. You can choose sides, salads, and desserts for a personalized feast!
The Captain Daniel Packer Inne
The Daniel Packer Inne, the historic restaurant that was first constructed over 250 years ago, invites travelers from near and far to step back in time and experience the fine fare and hospitality guests at the inn experienced over 200 years ago. For Thanksgiving this year, they are offering a three course prix fixe meal. The first course includes delicious selections including pumpkin bisque and sausage stuffed acorn squash. The main course has several meals to choose from, including of course, roasted turkey. And you can finish with dessert! Many of the options can be made gluten free or vegan as well!
