Gordon Ramsay Spotted in Mystic

Worldwide-famous television host and 16-time Michelin star, award-winning chef, Gordon Ramsay, recently paid a visit to the Mystic food scene while filming the next two seasons of his show Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods Casino. Ramsay, typically one to critique others in the kitchen, had nothing but positive feedback when he toured two of Mystic’s most treasured eateries.

Oyster Club

A visit to the sister restaurant of Port of Call had Ramsay “blown away” claimed owner, Dan Meiser. Chef Renee Touponce, recently named a runner-up for the James Beard Foundation Award said, “He really enjoyed everything when he was here. He said the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious.” Dining on oysters, empanadas, and monkfish, Ramsay could not have been more pleased with the food and atmosphere Oyster Club had to offer.

Red 36

Located on the waterfront, Red 36 is home to American-style dishes sure to please everyone. Equipped with a raw bar and fantastic seaside views, this Mystic gem offers an unforgettable dining experience. Ramsay made a quick stop on his bicycle and while he wasn’t able to grab a bite, he did snap a selfie with a few Red employees.

Who knows where Ramsay may visit next!
